Top Ten Tuesday: Top ten books on my fall TBR list
Books on My Fall TBR List
Honestly this is going to be half
books I want to read and half series I want to finish because that’s how I roll.
anyway
This
Savage Song (and everything else by Victoria Schwab)
I’ve heard whispers of this author
for a long time but I was a bit wary of trying it because I’d heard that she
primarily wrote adult books.
I am not an adult book kind of person guys. Frankly
YA disturbs me quite enough thank you very much. But I have miraculously fund a
selection of her books at the library. Now I just have to psych myself up for
them.
The
rest of the Raven Boys by Maggie Steifvater
I’m not too worried about reading
the next book or books because I adored the first and second. In fact my
reviews are primarily me trying to actually find something wrong with them
(except for Ronan’s mouth but what are you gonna do . . .?). Still I foresee
much resistance to the last book because in my experience the last book is when
everyone dies.
Everything else by
Maggie Seifvater
I have absolutely no idea what her
other books are about but I am so completely in.
Winter
by Marissa Meyer
I will read this one this fall. I will,
I will.
Again I’m wary of this one because it’s the last one in the series and
my sister read it declared sort of okay which makes me worried. Also have you
seen how ridiculously big this book is its insane!?
The Cursed Child by J. K. Rowling, Jack Thorne, and John Tiffany
Now here me out before you all freak out. I have
read the cursed child. In fact I read it in about two hours the day of. But
that was before I really had the blog so the plan is to reread (with hopefully a
more analytical approach than ‘Harry potter!!!! Oh my gosh! Harry potter!!!!’
At
least that’s the plan.
Ruined by Amy Tintera
Apparently I’m going to be late to
this party because there is already a second book in the works. Still I have
heard good things about this book from my friends on Goodreads.
Now I just have
to find it.
Daughter
of Smoke and Bone trilogy by Laini Taylor
Because it was lovely and about an
artist and the romance is mildly palpable. I don’t think I’ll review the second
one, because I’ve already read it and though I liked it there wasn’t that much
to say about it, I am determined to read and review the third one. Even if it is
just me mindlessly raving about how much I like Zuzana and artists and Prague.
Which I really hope we return to in the third book
Please, please, please.
Code
Name Verity by Elizabeth Wein
I picked this up and shamefully
quite after thirty pages.
It just wasn’t what I’d expected from the blurb. Then
later I see that the thousands of people who actually made it to the end are
raving about how good it is and now I feel guilty so here we go again.
A study in
Charlotte by Brittany Cavallaro
Why because female Sherlock Holmes that’s
why.
Oh why haven’t I read it yet? Let me tell you a story. There once was a
library that only the got the most ridiculously unwanted new books instead of
the ones that actually looked good. The end. Okay, okay my library is perfectly
fine they just don’t always listen when I request books.
Crooked
Kingdom by Leigh Bardugo
because guess what’s coming out
today!!!!
I am definitely not waiting for my library to get this book I don’t
care if I have to get on my sisters kindle this book is happening. And then I’ll
have to buy it later when it’s cheap because, well I like to own books on something
other than a kindle.
Thanks to the girls at the Broke and the Bookish for letting everyone else in on the Top Ten Tuesdays. If you guys like these things you should totally check out their stuff http://www.brokeandbookish.com/
